A new provincial initiative brings free Tyrol women’s health checks to all nine districts this autumn. This extensive program, known as the “Frauengesundheitsstraße,” offers a wide range of services. It aims to make vital health care accessible to all women across Tyrol.
The health roadshow will operate from October 3rd to November 20th. Scheduled stops include Reutte, Lienz, Kufstein, Telfs, St Johann, Innsbruck, Schwaz, Imst, and Landeck. Residents can attend any event, regardless of their specific place of residence. Furthermore, no advance registration is necessary to participate.
Visitors can undergo several crucial health assessments. These include blood pressure measurements, ECGs to check heart function, and BIA measurements for body composition. Moreover, lipoprotein(a) tests will be available to evaluate cardiovascular risk. These comprehensive Tyrol women’s health checks are designed to be easily accessible.
Medical professionals will also offer expert advice on various topics. These cover endometriosis, menopause, fertility, and both pregnancy and post-pregnancy health. In addition, mental health support and nutritional guidance will be provided. The program covers a broad spectrum of women’s health concerns.
A dedicated ‘First Love Clinic’ will cater specifically to younger women. This service offers essential information on menstrual health, contraception, and sexually transmitted infections. Individuals can also learn about stem-cell donation and, if they choose, provide a sample on site. This supports important medical research and patient care.
Most events will run from 10 am to 3 pm. However, the Innsbruck event on October 26th at Landhaus 1 will extend until 5 pm. The Landeck stop on November 20th at Altes Kino starts earlier, from 9 am to 3 pm. Specific dates and locations are detailed for each district stop.
